A Lifelong Journey: Papers in Honor of Michael P. Marshall edited by Emily J. Brown, Matthew J. Barbour, and Genevieve N. Head, Papers of the Archaeological Society of New Mexico, Volume 46, 2020.
This volume consists of papers from various locations primarily focusing on the Middle Rio Grande with papers also from Chaco Canyon, the Tularosa Basin and the Northern Rio Grande. Topics include various discussions on Late Classic Middle Rio Grande villages and the Spanish entrada into New Mexico, investigations at Piro sites, agricultural fields, textile designs in kiva murals, petroglyphs, and painted pottery, and a Late Archaic midden site. Given Michael Marshall’s long-term and substantial contributions to understanding past life and events along the Rio Grande Valley, this volume explores and expands on his research.
